Which xTool fits a 12 × 12, 12 × 20 or 12 × 24 inch project?
Compare the full design rectangle—not just whether a physical sheet can be loaded. These examples allow a 90° rotation, use exact metric specifications, and exclude conveyors and fixtures. “Within area” is geometry only.

*Almost no tolerance: 12 inches is 304.8 mm, leaving just 0.2 mm total spare against a 305 mm axis—not 0.2 mm on each side. That does not prove edge-to-edge processing will work.
Why a 24-inch design is not a 600 mm design
A full 24-inch design spans 609.6 mm, exceeding the P2S standard 600 mm work-area axis by 9.6 mm. A 600 × 300 mm design is different from a 12 × 24 inch design. Try both presets, then check any conveyor or repositioning plan separately.
Support and module choices change the answer
The P2S standard slats area is 600 × 305 mm. xTool documents 556 × 280 mm for its original honeycomb panel in the machine, and a maximum 500 × 250 mm when that panel is in the riser base. These numbers do not describe every third-party support. Official P2/P2S honeycomb guide ↗
The S1 row is specifically the 40W module’s 498 × 319 mm area; the 20W module differs. Official S1 guide ↗ †The M2 row uses the documented 426 × 320 mm flat-laser area for 10W/20W modules, not the smaller multi-processing area. The guide also documents 426 × 312 mm for M2 40W; choose that module in the checker below and confirm regional availability with xTool. Official M2 user guide ↗ See the bundle work-area guide for three worked examples.
For smaller engraving fields, try a custom rectangle in the checker and compare the F2, F1 Ultra and F2 Ultra configurations. Once a candidate remains, use the room-fit finder, setup-cost builder and xTool buying options to complete the decision.
Check a real project rectangle.
Measurements stay in this browser unless you explicitly enable a dimension-bearing creator share link. Results are ordered by dimensional fit and smallest documented work area—not by commission.
Enter a project rectangle
Use finished project dimensions, not nominal sheet labels. The tool will preserve non-fits and unknowns.
Boundary: Geometry only. A rectangle fitting a published work area does not establish material compatibility, settings, usable edge margin, fixture clearance, processing success, ventilation, electrical readiness, or safety.
“Fits” means one rectangle fits another.
The checker does not deduct clamping, framing, camera, focus, fixture, border, or processing margins. It does not decide whether a material or process is appropriate. A conditional oversize-feed note is not a claim that a long project can be processed successfully.
For cylinders, handled objects, or irregular shapes, use the rotary fit wizard or record a site-specific fixture envelope.
Share the calculation, not a screenshot.
The optional URL records only the project dimensions, units, rotation choice, P2S support configuration and M2 module choice. Creators can copy a compact badge that sends readers back to a reproducible result. Link to this common-size comparison chart when discussing sheet sizes; no account or permission request is needed.

Before treating a match as a shortlist
Does work-area fit prove material compatibility?
No. Material identity, coatings, adhesives, process, settings, emissions, and manufacturer instructions remain separate decisions.
Are paid links ranked higher?
No. Results sort by outcome, then documented work-area size. Commission eligibility never changes the geometry.
A fit is not a room plan.
Carry a candidate into the scaled workshop layout and document the support and operating envelope.
