Delivery-path calculator
Laser Cutter Doorway Fit Calculator
Test the unopened package against one straight, rectangular opening. The calculator checks allowed axis-aligned faces and reports the limiting edge without pretending to solve the rest of the move.

- Planning aid only
Start with evidence, not a green light.
Use the shipping package—not the assembled laser—and measure the clear opening between real obstructions. A mathematical fit through one doorway does not prove the crate can turn, climb stairs or be safely tilted.
What this calculation actually checks
The tool compares the package’s width, depth and height with the opening’s clear width and clear height. It checks upright approaches and, only when you confirm permission, other axis-aligned package faces.
A result with less than one inch at the limiting edge is kept conditional because tape-measure error, trim, hardware, protective wrapping and uneven floors can consume a small margin. One inch is a cautious planning threshold, not a manufacturer rule.
Straight-opening geometry
Try the unopened package against one clear opening.
This axis-aligned calculation does not model diagonal maneuvers, packaging deformation, handholds, floor protection, load handling or turns. Never tilt or disassemble a machine or crate unless the manufacturer permits it.
Complete the preflight in this order.
- 01
Get the shipping document
Ask the seller for the current packaged dimensions and weight for the exact version and bundle. Do not estimate packaging from the assembled cabinet.
- 02
Measure the clear opening
Measure between door stops, hinges, closers, thresholds and the lowest overhead obstruction. Use the smallest real dimension.
- 03
Walk the remaining route
Record hall widths, corners, landings, stairs, elevator openings and the final approach. The mini tool does not model these.
- 04
Confirm handling
Use the freight and manufacturer instructions to decide whether another package face, disassembly or special lifting equipment is permitted.
Keep these boundaries attached to the result.
- No diagonal, curved-path, corner or stair geometry is modeled.
- A face is considered only when the selected handling permission allows it.
- The result does not approve tilting, disassembly, lifting, floor protection or manual handling.
- Package dimensions can change by bundle, region or revision; verify again before delivery.
This preflight does not approve electrical work, ventilation, structural capacity, fire safety, emissions, lease terms or code compliance.
Before you treat the preflight as complete.
Can I use the assembled machine dimensions?+
Only for an unpacked move that the seller and manufacturer permit. Normal freight delivery should be checked with the unopened package because the crate, pallet and protection can be materially larger.
Why does a straight-door fit stay conditional?+
The calculation cannot see the approach angle, handholds, threshold, floor slope, next turn or whether the package may be placed on the selected face.
Does removing the door solve a near miss?+
It may change the measured opening, but removal, protection and reinstallation are site decisions. Re-measure the actual unobstructed opening and confirm that the rest of the route still works.
