Electrical and utility preflight

Inventory the laser, chiller or pump, extractor or fan, compressor, computer and every powered accessory. Match each current nameplate and plug to the planned site, then use a licensed electrician when suitability is not already documented.

Why the machine wattage is not the whole answer

Bundles can add simultaneous loads, different plug types and manufacturer directions about circuit sharing. A product-page headline may also differ from the delivered nameplate or omit startup and accessory behavior.

    List every powered component, exact model, voltage, frequency, rated input, plug and manufacturer circuit instructions.

    Identify the real circuit

    Record which breaker and receptacle serve the location and what else is connected; do not infer capacity from receptacle appearance.

  3. 03

    Add cooling and environment

    Capture coolant, chiller clearance, ambient temperature, humidity, condensation and freeze-protection requirements.

  4. 04

    Make the professional handoff

    Give the manuals, nameplates, complete load list and site information to a licensed electrician when any compatibility question remains.

Can I add all the wattages and choose a breaker?+

No. A simple sum is useful context for a professional, but it does not account for all design factors or authorize a breaker, conductor or receptacle choice.

Does a standard-looking plug mean the outlet is suitable?+

No. Identify the circuit, voltage, grounding, protection, other connected loads and manufacturer requirements. Use a licensed electrician when those facts are not already documented.

Should the chiller and exhaust fan be included?+

Yes. Include every component expected to run during processing, plus any manufacturer direction about separate circuits, startup order or prohibited power strips and extension cords.
