Record the applications and devices you intend to use, the file type your design process produces and edits needed after import. Include account, connection and offline-access requirements. Confirm each against current documentation for the exact machine and application version.
Create a simple sample with a known physical rectangle, ordinary text, an image if relevant and separate elements your project needs. Use fictional content, not customer artwork. The purpose is to expose handoff questions early; a filename extension alone does not prove that design features transfer correctly.
Record what survives the transfer
Use the software preflight to record evidence for import, physical dimensions, text appearance, element selection and required conversions. Note where each item was verified. A file that opens is not necessarily a design with confirmed structure, scale and editability.
Keep the original sample and separate export with clear version names. Record dimensions and deliberate conversions in a handoff note. Once the design rectangle and configuration are settled, continue to project fit, room planning and a budget containing only software costs you have actually established.

What workflow is documented?
Current machine, application and device requirements.
Record dependencies still unverified.
Does the design arrive correctly?
Manual checks of scale, text, elements and editing.
Carry the relevant model or configuration into this separate check. No purchase or installation approval is implied.
