Delivery-path calculator

Laser Cutter Delivery-Path Calculator

Map the route from the curb to the uncrating area and test the unopened package against each straight, rectangular opening. The result identifies the limiting checkpoint without pretending to solve turns, stairs, lifting, or tilt permission.

Delivery-path calculator

Use the exact shipping package—not the assembled laser—and measure every clear opening between real obstructions. A mathematical pass through the doors still does not prove the crate can turn, climb stairs, use an elevator, or be safely tilted.

Scope before result

What this calculation actually checks

The tool compares the package’s width, depth and height with each opening’s clear width and height in delivery order. It checks upright approaches and, only when you confirm permission, other axis-aligned package faces.

A result with less than one inch at the limiting edge is kept conditional because tape-measure error, trim, hardware, protective wrapping and uneven floors can consume a small margin. One inch is a cautious planning threshold, not a manufacturer rule.

Run the preflight
Ordered route ledger

Model every clear opening from the curb to the uncrating area.

Inputs stay local
1. Unopened package

No model is preselected. A sourced preset never replaces the freight document for your exact SKU, bundle, and region.

Published preset: Official dimensions for the basic kit only.

2. Openings in delivery order

Measure between stops, hinges, closers, thresholds, rails, and the lowest obstruction. Add only rectangular openings here.

3. Unmodeled handling constraints

A “yes” below intentionally prevents a final clear result. Use the output to brief the seller or delivery team.

Do official handling or freight instructions permit the unopened package to rest on another face?

Waiting for route

Complete the package and route openings

Enter the unopened package and every rectangular opening in delivery order.

Modeled: axis-aligned rectangular openings. Not modeled: diagonal maneuvers, turns, stairs, elevators, load handling, floors, crate deformation, disassembly, or tilt permission. The record is an organizational tool—not an engineering report, delivery guarantee, safety approval, or code certification.

Use the result in context

Complete the preflight in this order.

  1. 01

    Get the shipping document

Ask the seller for the current packaged dimensions and weight for the exact version and bundle. Do not estimate packaging from the assembled cabinet.

  2. 02

    Measure the clear opening

Measure between door stops, hinges, closers, thresholds and the lowest overhead obstruction. Use the smallest real dimension.

  3. 03

    Walk the remaining route

Record hall widths, corners, landings, stairs, elevator openings and the final approach. The mini tool does not model these.

  4. 04

    Confirm handling

Use the freight and manufacturer instructions to decide whether another package face, disassembly or special lifting equipment is permitted.

What this page will not decide

Keep these boundaries attached to the result.

  • No diagonal, curved-path, corner or stair geometry is modeled.
  • A face is considered only when the selected handling permission allows it.
  • The result does not approve tilting, disassembly, lifting, floor protection or manual handling.
  • Package dimensions can change by bundle, region or revision; verify again before delivery.
No result is an approval.

This preflight does not approve electrical work, ventilation, structural capacity, fire safety, emissions, lease terms or code compliance.

Common questions

Questions to answer before treating the preflight as complete.

Can I use the assembled machine dimensions?+

Only for an unpacked move that the seller and manufacturer permit. Normal freight delivery should be checked with the unopened package because the crate, pallet and protection can be materially larger.

Why does a straight-door fit stay conditional?+

The calculation cannot see the approach angle, handholds, threshold, floor slope, next turn or whether the package may be placed on the selected face.

Does removing the door solve a near miss?+

It may change the measured opening, but removal, protection and reinstallation are site decisions. Re-measure the actual unobstructed opening and confirm that the rest of the route still works.
